Montclair drew first blood but Tufts evened the score in the sixth to force a second extra inning game of the day. In the ninth inning, Tufts scored one run on the first triple of the Championship and added an insurance run to take the final game of the day 3-1.

Cortland came out swinging in its winners' bracket matchup with Luther. The Red Dragons used the mercy rule to take a 9-1 game from the Norse.  The game featured three home runs by Cortland, including a fourth-inning grand slam that gave Cortland the eight-run margin needed to invoke the mercy rule.

Texas-Tyler found gold in the nine spot as pinch-hitter Whitney Burt slugged a three-run homer and Carli Wheeler hit a walk-off single to lead Texas Tyler to a 5-4 extra innings win.

It was white knuckle time for Salisbury as Anderson tried to rally in the sixth and seventh innings but Salisbury reversed its fortunes, snuffing them out and were on the winning side of a 2-0 score.
