Settiwongse claims CCC Player of the Week

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Nichols College women's tennis sophomore Amarie Settiwongse (Bangkok, Thailand) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Week.

This is the third time in Settiwongse's – the reigning CCC Player and Rookie of the Year –  collegiate career that she has been named the CCC Player of the Week.

"Amie had a solid week," said Nichols head coach Paul Brower. "Her three set win against Endicott was a huge part of that team victory. Then, winning both her singles and doubles flights at Union was a significant accomplishment against some strong competition."

Settiwongse had an impressive week for Nichols as she helped lead the Bison over Endicott in a rematch of the 2016 CCC Championship. In that match, she earned the win at No. 1 singles. Later in the week, Settiwongse earned two titles in tournament play. She won both the Singles and Doubles A Flights at the Union College Invitational.

The Bison (3-1, 1-0 CCC) travel to take on conference-foe Roger Williams on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.
