Elise Barnes slapped a walk-off home run to left field with two outs in the seventh inning to give No. 14-ranked St. Thomas a 4-3 win over Careton and a sweep of their doubleheader.

Carleton had seven hits and six left on, UST had six hits and four left on.

Sammy Hogan started for UST and gave up a leadoff single but retired the next three CC batters.

Sarah Ogle is pitching for the Knights. She allowed a walk to Barnes and then a two-out single to Beeso but retired the next batter to strand two.

Hogan just struck out two batters to strand two runners in the Knights' second inning after a walk and one-out single.

Jenna Bromen hit a one-out solo home run to center in the bottom of the second for a 1-0 Tommie lead.

Bromen added a two-out single in the fourth inning for a 2-0 lead.

Carleton scored three runs after two were out in the top of the fifth with Katie Epperd slashing a two-run double down the line and scoring on Natalie Maurice's RBI single.

In the last of the ffith inning, Melissa Barry's one-out sinking single to center skipped past the Knights' CF and rolled to the fence and Barry came all the way around to score the tying run.
