    (June 2, 2018) – Steph Colson (Westminster, Md./Manchester Valley), a junior midfielder from Gettysburg College, was named the 2018 DIII Honda Athlete of the Year nominee for lacrosse as announced by Executive Director Chris Voelz of THE Collegiate Women Sports Awards (CWSA) presented by Honda.

    It took a day of waiting out thunderstorms, but when the opening draw finally took place in the 2018 NCAA Division III women's lacrosse championship, lightning managed to strike twice as third-ranked Gettysburg took down No. 4 Middlebury 11-9 to capture its second consecutive national title.

    SALEM, Va. – Sophomore Courtney Patterson(Whitehouse Station, N.J./Hunterdon Central Regional) scored three goals and junior goalie Bailey Pilder (New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan) recorded 11 saves to vault No. 3 Gettysburg College past No. 2 Salisbury University 12-7 and into the NCAA Division III Championship game for the second consecutive season.
  • Bates College's Rosen and Kauppila advance to NCAA doubles quarterfinals

    Senior Bates College men's tennis captain Ben Rosen and sophomore Jacob Kauppila turned in a dominating third set performance to defeat the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps combination of Julian Gordy and Nikolai Parodi by a score of 6-4, 3-6, 6-0 on Thursday in the first round of the NCAA Doubles Championships.

    Gettysburg College lacrosse fans remember the moment well when Steph Colson '19 (Westminster, Md./Manchester Valley) dashed halfway up the field at Kerr Stadium, juked past two College of New Jersey defenders, and fired a shot past the Lions' goalkeeper for what turned out to be the game-winning goal in the 2017 NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Championship. It was the end of an amazing season for the Bullets and the clinching moment of an MVP performance by Colson.
