Tufts' starter Allyson Fournier opened the game with four perfect innings en route to a 6-0 win over Cortland State in the winners bracket final.
Sara Hedtler opened the Tufts offense with a leadoff single. Five batters later, Gracie Marshall came up with the bases loaded and drove the ball past the third baseman for a run scoring single.
The Jumbos added two more in the third. Jo Clair and Emily Bienecke singles to start the frame. Michelle Cooprider's single down the left field line plated Clair. Bieneck scored on a Kristine Parr sacrifice fly.
Tufts added their fourth run in the fifth when Cooprider scored on Parr's double to right center. Tufts added another two runs when the teams returned from the 121 minute rain delay
Tufts moves into the championship game while Cortland will meet the winner of the Salisbury-Texas-Tyler matchup.
